I've had several labs. over the years. apparently all of them, in a previous life, starved to death and damned if they were about to let it happen again. 😏

funny stuff
our wiener dogs (two ) act like they never get fed I call them our peta commercial try outs
our husky will stomp her front feet and do the husky demanding "talk " at me to get fed or goodies
we have 4 dogs our last one also a rescue dog from a local shelter she is a Shepard / lab /? mix
we have had her about 3 or 4 years but she must be a prepper or was also starved by her original owner she does not wolf down food and seldom ever begs , but she will scurry some if not all of it away in my bed room ( wife and I have separate bed rooms due to snoring both of us ) some times I will find a dog treat(s) under or on top of my pillow or a piece of chicken or what ever I gave her earlier on her bed in the floor, at least its dry dog treats not a piece of chicken under my pillow LOL she will wait until I go to bed then eat it . or same with food down stairs she waits until I am in the room with her to eat
this may may sound silly but my thoughts she is stock piling the goods and when I am with her she is confident they will be more food to come so she eats its like she is saving it for hard times just in case I don't show up
oh she also rounds up the cat food bowels ( dry cat food )takes them to my room also, well that is what she does not dump on the stairs taking them up .
