White Holly Wood

Years ago a company was making handgun grips from this wood.

Grips looked like ivory.

Anyone know of this outlet or if the wood is available? Thanks.

    There's an issue with Holly, in that it's very soft and requires stabilizer to gain any durability. I have some in the vacuum chamber currently soaking up some clear in the white. I'm doing some knife scales in red white and blue.


    You could possibly soak them in a wood hardener to gain stability, but that stuff is a skin deep treatment.
