    Slamming down on a primer sounds like it could lead to trouble. Not familiar with those inlines hillbillie but I wouldn't want to add any percussion to a cap on one of my side locks!

    Yes it is, considering it only takes 0.004" (4 thousandths) to keep a bolt from closing on the NO-GO gauge when checking headspace in a bolt action rifle.

    You may want to try firing off a few of those primers to make sure your firing pin comes out far enough to light them off. I had issues with shotgun reloads for that reason.
