Help converting a picture

My Iphone takes pictures in the HEIC format (whatever the heck that is) and I need to convert them to a platform GB Auction side can use.

How do I convert these pics to a Jpeg or other format?

I am using a MacBook Air if that helps.

  If you save or send the pic from you r phone to your computer email or messaga can you open it?
