    He's got the "first year made" part right, but the wrong year, it's a 1934. Mr Olin had one made for himself, liked it so much he had it put into production. With any collectable Winchester, someone will make a fake. Bert has the polishing room records for the 52's, and that will tell you what configuration it left the factory in.

    WOW! I have a 52 Sporter made in 1951, never thought they brought that much. I assume that one being a first year of production adds a premium to the sale price?
