Reline .22 cylinder
Just a curious question but has anyone here ever relined a .22 cylinder or heard of it being done? An example would be to take a .22 magnum cylinder and reline it to .22 lr. Any info is always appreciated.

I've done it for larger cartridge cylinders where I change out the barrel also, never .22LR, no need, no call for it. The technique is the same, of course but the bore/groove diameters are different and the throat is different. Not a very pragmatic concept. It would most likely be less expensive to just get a new pistol or handgun depending on style.
Best.

Definitely possible, just takes a skilled machinist. But as stated, there are other considerations that affect the finished job.
