she could shake it down LOL

maybe just me but seems every generation of "kids" have to rebel and stand out as there own

wife and I talk about it and how our parents reacted to rock and roll or Motown and how I would guess most of us reacted to hip hop or rap or new wave or what every they call it now same with " new country music " not country to me at all

think back we had long hair now its red pink green assorted colors and half shaved not to mention countless tats just young adults looking for there own identity , do I agree no but I do not let it bother me too each there own

what gets me is what they are taught in school way more that how they look

and yes I miss the scantly clad extra short shorts and almost there tops

I remember my wife calling me out on it several times ( Ok maybe a lot more ) when we 1st married and that style was still popular and I would get busted by her looking at some gal . once she said I know your going to look but following them around the store with your tongue hanging out is a bit obvious are you not embarrassed "well no dear I am not" LOL

but also now with the trend to be lets just say be way over weight by most younger people I do not think I would care to see them exploding out of the old clothing styles the spandex is bad enough

You're talking about "rock fans" who could impress their friends and snub other oglers. That's different from being essentially pressured into doing soft core porn for thousands of fans from all walks of life.

Whether or not your sloopy would, I tend to doubt too many people would unless subjected to some form of mob action from the community such as uncooperative teachers or guidance counselors or the clear message from the cops or the local neighborhood watch that one had to comply if one wanted to be protected from crime.

"easy livin', and I've beeeeen forgiven, since you've (waaaaa) taken your place in my heart..." Can it be that they felt they needed forgiveness because they were trained to be screwups and were told how useless and expensive they were all the time? Then they gave in to a career in rock & roll and were forgiven because they were led to believe they had found the love of those community members who wanted to use them.

Sloopy looks way better than all the yoga pants and camel toes running around today.

Yes I grew up in the hot pants era. Wife still has hers but she is too big for her britches.

Why is it that the bigger they are the tighter the spandex get?.

Can you say Divorce Court ? 😆

My comments so far have been sheer speculation.

It is my speculative guess that some school systems which are not staffed by professionals used to tend to set children aside and pressure them to take up rock & roll, maybe con their parents into thinking they're working already, maybe providing drugs, though through merest hints and subtle communications. It's just that when Grunge spoiled rock & roll for people by around the mid 1990s, it was only a few years before the revenue streams ran down and they were beset by scandal when no longer able to pay off all the kids suing their personnel. Where these schools are or who runs them, I don't know. Maybe some small, unheard of religion. Maybe atheists.

Dude, do you inhale some sort of fumes on a daily basis? Smoke crack? Whacky tabbacy? Magic mushrooms?

you've probably heard it but listen to the deep sadness as they realize their whole life was going to be about being in the mob so they could pay for the drugs they need.

SoreShoulder, taking nearly 2 years for a comeback post regarding a subject that has absolutely nothing to do with the original intent of the OP has you on my list of bad actors.
