I went deer hunting with a Dodge Neon. Came home with two deer, one in the trunk and one in the back seat.
Wife later hauled one to the processor in the open trunk of her Dodge intrepid. The dang deer was frozen and you couldn't fold in the legs. The locals would honk and wave and thumbs up. The others would just stare. Good ol days.

I once scored 3 deer in one afternoon, and had them strapped to the hood, roof, and trunk of my Toyota Corolla. Boy, that got some looks!
These days, I’m still truck-less, but the old Honda Odyssey minivan hauls deer like a champ. I almost prefer it, as the cargo area is a lot lower to the ground than a truck tailgate. I can only wish I had an elk to stuff in it!!

Trunk, as Don says, but it could be NM, CO, AZ as well, maybe WY, ID and UT as well. Now if it were a moose....
