ILL Firearm Season Opener
This morning was our gun opener.
Way too warm but did see a few and got a decent 9 that was hot on a does behind.
Had to yell at them a few times to get him them to stop.
My son saw a 6 point and some smaller does.
I used my Savage topped with an old 6 power Redfield. Hornaday SST.

We just got in from processors dropping off mice meat for the wife shot. She was out at 05:00 and that was the first deer she saw at 16:00 and it’s perfect size.

Deer hunted many years in the Peoria area. Great hunting.

I passed on small does as did my son who also passed on small bucks.
Im just dying for him to shoot something.
I had bought him a Savage 20 gauge for his birthday, Christmas, and congrats for getting his Masters in December.

Took a buddy to my other farm today in the rain and wind.
I passed on a doe and he shot this 8 pointer.
