    Andy Warhol painted a Campbells soup can. Painting worth more than my entire life's income.


    I have a few classic finger paintings done by my twin granddaughters hanging on the wall that actually compare quite well with this Jackson Pollock piece. I may not live to see them find fame in the art world but in another 50 years who knows what these finger paintings may be worth!

    All of that junk is more accurately called "decorator art".

    It was used by "interior decorators" to pull a room together. She might say, "this room has a lot of yellow & turquoise; I'll have an art student paint an abstract that features those colors". Based on the size, you would pay the student more or less by the square foot. Often, the frame would cost more than the picture.
