She got her first deer!!!! PICTURE
Granddaughter went on her first hunt today. Just about sunset getting ready to pack it in, there's a buck, and she got it. 250 yds. through the heart,DRT, with her new rifle. Everyone is so excited for/with her. Her and daddy are still in the field packing up to come home.
She made Christmas shopping for her so easy this year. She's gonna need so many things.

I know how you are feeling as my daughter did her first ever hunt and got her buck yesterday , the look on her face after the shot broke and the deer drop was priceless, being able to be there and see that was well worth all the money and work that went into that day

Very cool! Did she get a pass on field dressing the first one and "learn" the steps from Dad?

Took my 8 yr old grandson on his first hunt a couple of weeks ago on our state wide youth hunt. At 3:30 he dropped a nice mature doe straight down. We were in a box blind along with his father. I had him using a short stocked Ruger American. Proud moment for Grumps.
