This morning's ammo haul

Went to Bass Pro this morning and it was a madhouse, people running carts into each other, running to the ammo aisle, etc.. They didn't have a lot of variety, but what they did have they had a TON of (except for 6.5 creedmoor which they only had four boxes and it was $50/box). My cart was loaded down, and there was enough there to fill 30 more carts. I think I have enough .22 lr to last me quite awhile.

    Wow. I just dropped $2700 on a new Christensen Arms rifle in 6.5 PRC, with a Leupold VX-6 3-18x50 on top of it. I think you beat me....Nice score.

    Nope, you have me beat. I thought while loading up the cart that I could buy a couple of decent rifles instead, but what good is a gun without ammo.

    They did have a limit a couple of weeks ago when they had no ammo, but no signs today so I'm not sure if it's a mistake on their part or what.

    Just wait when they start demanding gold coins instead and no internet sales will be allowed.And The FED'S at the doors at all gun shows if any are still legal to operate,that is?

    I made some empty's today about 150 hand loads to be exact. They were 7.62 match brass loaded to the same specs as Hirtenberger Match ammo(168gr SMK @ 2600fps).


    Got out the old SSG-69 P1 and shot steel from 200-800 yds. Perfect day 0 wind most of the day and then a little no value wind from behind.


    The old girl shot great. She has a 10x range finder scope(Kahales ZF95) totally old school. I let my buddy shoot it and he was hitting all the way out to 800 no problem. He is from South Africa and was having a ball. He wanted to know why the gun shot high and why I would set the range just a hair below what the actual range is.

    I just smiled at him and said the gun and scope were made in Austria for their military, this is America why do you think............................................................


    The gun is set to meters and we were on a range in yards.


    Great haul on the Ammo.


    Serf I don't have any gold coins but I have about 10x that much ammo and the ability along with the components to make about 10x more, so I think I will be fine, I can always pay in lead or primers😉

    If it comes to that , no way would I accept gold for my ammo. Thinking about that situation, I believe I could get all the gold I wanted. I guess if it got really bad we could always melt down the gold for casting bullets and make it Into something useful.

    I bought a box of the Sig Sauer Elite Performance at Rural King the other day. $14 for 20. I had no hollow point 9mm for my carry gun.

    The had two boxes on the shelf but she would only sell me one.

    but I am also surprised they let you buy so much . not that long ago two boxes of about any ammo was the limit .

    even seen a couple adds on you tube gun shops not selling unless you buy a gun or from them or use there range

    as for me I would have done the same load up while you can its the American way LOL

    our cabelas limits 9mm 556 223 other wise go for it .. yesterday some fellow came in and bought 140 boxes of the 450 bushmaster ammo wiped out the shelf

    Dayuummm!!!

    I don't know if anyone's explained how things work around here, Ridgely, but anyone with less than 100 posts that shows a picture of an ammo score has to send 20% of said score to the person that points out this particular unwritten rule.

    No need to thank me, just throw in an extra box of .22!
