Cashiers check, postal money order, personal check. PayPal is anti gun and may lock your account and freeze your funds if they find out about a firearm transaction. Bob

He pays according to the terms of the auction. If PayPal was included in those terms then you naturally read Gun Brokers position on PayPal

Yeah I've explained the anti gun policies on paypal to him.
The agreed auction payment was Visa/Mastercard.
He claims to not know where or how to pay as if he can't navigate through the site to do so. He is also on a mobile device so I asked if he could try it on a computer incase mobile devices have issues in that sense.

Thanks for the responses and your time.

Perhaps you could give us a link to your auction and we could see what the problem is. I assume you set up instant checkout with gun broker? If you are set up to take visa/MasterCard the seller could communicate his credit card information to you and you could run it manually. Bob

Mark may understand this better than I do because I am just a buyer but on the listing I don't see immediate check out either.  Nice rifle and I hope you come to some arrangement with the buyer. Bob

He can call you and give you his CC number over the phone, or you and him could talk and come to the agreement that he could send you a personal check, or money order.

So calls me to give me his CC and I do what with it? Is there a service I would use to charge it?

I sounds as though what you wanted to do had to have been set up during the listing:

When I'm selling, all that I'm interested in is receiving cash or certified funds. I leave the plastic/electronic transfers to those who understand that sort of stuff.

Gunbroker does not collect the payment for you.  If you do not have a credit card merchant account your forms of acceptable payment should have been check/money order, ETC.  Something you can take to the bank essentially.  Paypal if you both have accounts and want to risk getting your account frozen is an option also, many do it but the risk is always there as it is against their rules.
Email the buyer and ask him to send you a check or money order would be the simplest thing.

Used immediate checkout several times. Comes up when you are notified that you have won the auction.
Somehow I used Paypal on sellers request one time but the transaction never mention a firearm, AND it was not a cheapie either.
