I can't wait to read this new book on Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon. It looks like a hell of a story. Their best sells for $5000.00 per bottle.

  The secondary market on bourbon is so wild

  that 23 year old pappy actually retails for about $250. ( not that you will ever, ever find any Pappy for retail)

  but you can find the 23 for about $2800-3500 if you get lucky

  Your pallet would have to be far more refined than mine to tell the difference between a good 30 to 40 dollar bottle and that 5,000 dollar bottle.
