Marlin 30-30 octagon barrel.
Hi I have a Marlin 30-30, lever action, special smokeless steel, with an octagon barrel, trying to figure out the info year and model, also the value. Serial number is 408568.

Look on the tang for the model number, looks to be a Mod. 1893. The serial number is above the known recorded numbers, so best guess is 1916 to 1921. 3 -
it also looks to have a nasty crack at the rear of the locking block cut-out, unsafe to shoot! 0 -
