Winchester model 70 Westerner DOM
I have a Winchester model 70 Westerner and would like to know when it was made. Serial # G1581309
and I am getting conflicting info from different sources. According to some books this model was made from 1964 to 1971. Serial number records from other books show it being made after 1982 when U.S.R.A.C. took over Winchester. The barrel is marked Winchester model 70 Westerner 300 magnum made in New Haven Conn. U.S.A. Winchester proof steel. Any help from forum members is always appreciated.

Blue book says 1982. It says the Westerner was only made for 4 years, 82-85. Bob 0 -
