I've been finishing a really big batch of killer chili the last few days. (Made Mon.) Today will be the last of it. I've been jonesing for a good dog since these threads started. Have Oscar Meyer all beef dogs lined up to cook and eat. Gonna have to heat up some sauerkraut, which I have.

My mouth is watering. Love me some dogs.

I hear you, and I'm a sucker for hot dogs (no pun intended). Heck, I'll only go see a ball game if it's $1 dog night.
When I used to travel frequently for work, even the old Speedway gas station two for $2 deals would win over any fast food joint. Tony Packo's in Toledo, Coney Island Diner in Mansfield, Hot Dog Heaven in Amherst are all within an hour & a half from me. I never realized how lucky I am haha!! But nothing beats a good home cooked dog dressed up exactly how you want it.

A good hotdog melts away the stresses of the week we have just endured.   Brings good ole down home comfort that is needed right now!

If you ever drive through Wikiup Arizona on the way to somewhere else, don't be afraid to stop in at the Chicago Hot Dog place. The man is a hard-core right wing nut, and he does indeed make a damn good hot dog in many varieties. I am told his fried chicken is fabulous if you have an hour to wait because it is made to order. The establishment is a hoot. If you don't eat, he charges to use the rest room, for example.

Can't beat a Kielbasa dog hot off the grill slopeside at any ski resort. Mustard and onion or warm Sauerkraut on a large bun.

Something about eating one slopeside with your skiis still on, watching everyone else while you take a much needed break. Don't get no mo betta.

    Been a few years.

Crested Butte, CO, Hunter, Windham, Gore Mtn, Whiteface, NY, Killington, VT. Beech, Sugar, Wolfs Lair, NC, on and on and on. Good times.

Now ya'll have gone and done it. I am in need of shopping for next weeks vittles, must needs some hot dogs add beans of some sort. Cut up the dogs, brown well in a cast iron skillet then apply beans and let them simmer for a good while

Caspers are special. Lots of natural flavor. Only ones I see in the market are too long for the normal bun. Not cheap but a quality dog.
