Must have been the fellow that wrote the outdoor adventure book titled , antlers in the tree top by who goosed the moose.

Was asleep on an Island up in Maine, last day of a 14 day sea kayaking trip, island to island. This was Monroe island I believe. (A nature preserve.) We had hiked the circumfrence of the island the evening we got there. I found a nice 8 point rack and skull, which I still have.
I elected to sleep about 50-100 yards away from my 3 mates with my bag at the edge of a cliff, listening to the surf. My Buds heard something during the night, and looked out the tents. Told me later, they could see by a full moon that a Bull Moose was sniffing my head while I slept. 😨
