Around here most of those BOGO sales of meats jack up the prices for the purchase of one so high it is not really a deal at all!

I'm not sure how you figure that. Reg. $12/lb. Now $6.49 plus you get a $1 bottle of Cocktail sauce free. (Heavy horseradish) 😁

I'm saving $5.50 on the Shrimp, and $1 on the Cocktail sauce. So I saved $6.50 on a 1lb bag of $12 frozen Cocktail shrimp. I guess I got screwed.

Gotta pay attention to the price/lb, & everything else. I am a frugal shopper, looking at all that. Gotta pay attention. (Or) Yes, they will screw you.

*Mainly it is a draw to get you in the doors. If you only buy the deals, you've done okay.

Dude you are trying to do math and you know how that always turns out. You are going to end up with a whole lot of Cocktail sauce and no shrimp.

Food Lion Frozen Shrimp. $6.49 down from $12, (save $5.50/lb) with a free bottle of Food Lion Cocktail sauce. (Heavy Horseradish.) Grabbed a couple of each.

Other good buys on buy one get one (BOGO) deals going also. I am such a sucker. (But) if all I grab are the deals, I've made out. They use those to get you in the door.

I use those to shop by.

Boneless, skinless Family Chicken breast packs $1.99/lb. Wanted some, but no freezer space. Packs too large to accommodate.

And what size was the shrimp???

    41-50.

Still a deal at $6.50/lb. w/free Cocktail sauce.

I'm okay with having more free Spicy Cocktail Sauce than Shrimp.

I eat fish sticks also. 😉

    Bubba:
”Ever been on a shrimp boat?”
    Forrest:
”No, but I’ve been on a really big boat.”

Down here I live they had a great deal on fresh extra large clean headless shrimp for 6.00 dollars a pound! All you had to do was
add a phone app so they send you ads and track your buying habits. Which is a hook and crook tactic in my opinion. I didn't bite.

    Instead of cocktail sauce...
Put the freshly steamed shrimp in a bag with Old Bay Blackened seasoning & shake it around.....
Marinate them in Worcestershire sauce & wrap them in bacon (or prosciutto) and then put them on the grill.
