The absolute worst waste of money, what is your list?
1) Starbucks, (and others) make your coffee at home save five bucks a day.
2 McDonalds (or others) for breakfast, get up 15 minutes earlier make your own healthy breakfast for $1.50.
3) Data on your cell phone. It is expensive, use WIFI and stop using apps that use data. Buy a Garmin for 100 bucks for getting directions and save the data package costs. Cell phones can be used until they die then get a new one 3-4 models old and save big bucks.
4) New cars and trucks. Buy one three years old with 30-40,000 miles and let the previous guy eat the huge depreciation. Then drive it until the wheels fall off or, if in the rust belt, until the frame rots in half.
5) Pre-packaged frozen foods, ready to microwave. Have you ever seen the cost per pound of Tyson frozen chicken nuggets, mostly bread? The cost for a whole chicken you cut up yourself is less than half per pound.
6) Movie and sports channels on cable. The cost of an antenna is 25 bucks, the airwaves are FREE, listen to the radio for your sports, watch free streaming for movies.
6) Going out to movies or sports events. Seven dollar beer, 8 dollar hot dogs, 10 buck parking, loud and rude drunk crowds, for what? To support elite scum that despise you, why do it???
7) Clothing. I wear T-shirts I have had for 25-30 years. why spend the national average on clothes? The name brand stuff simply feeds people that despise you.
8) Storage units. Get rid of "stuff", save the storage money you spend for crap you seldom/never use or even forgot you have.
Take all the cash you save and invest in guns, your retirement, ammo and your home. Enjoy life more by not keeping up with the (D) voting masses. They are the fools that buy into FB and Twitter ads for junk they don't really need.

I pretty much do your entire list. I would add watch where you shop for groceries. Huge potential for savings there! 0 -
Most are agreed, Bruce.
However:
2. A sausage muffing thingy with egg, hash browns and a milk is a great breakfast for cheap.
3. WIFI is not everywhere. Spending a little for data can literally save your ass.
7. Nothing wrong with a reasonable amount of spending to look one's best. A $ 5,000.00 suit is probably more than necessary for most applications, but dressing for events and for people does show respect for them.
9. Private Airplanes. You did not mention private airplanes. Looked into it once, but after $ 5,000.00 - $ 10,000.00 for certification, I would have been positioned to spend $ 30,000.00+ for something that had the performance of a 1988 Yugo GV.0 -
Mowing grass. I wish I had paved my yard when we built here. 27 years ago. Think of the money and time I would have saved. 0 -

2) Low quality, high fat/carb food at inflated prices, but it sure tastes good!!!!
3) I travel 50,000 miles a year through the Appalachia region. cell coverage SUCKS, at best. Garmin NUVI gets me there every time it cost a 100 bucks many years ago and works fine.7) Selling cars I had all the nice clothes bling, Jerry Garcia ties, ECCO shoes, top quality pants and the like. That was seven years ago. Amortizing that investment over a long time to dress proper for any occasion was worth it. I still have all that clothing.
9) I bought and fly my private airplane, with training, costs of operations and insurance because I don't go to McDonalds for breakfast and have the rock bottom data package available from my carrier and NEVER even use 1/2 of it. I am frugal as can be, driving a 20 year old truck with 575,000 miles on it so I can afford to fly my 53 year old airplane.... :-)

paying a politicians salary, cut their pay in half and make them be in their seats every day for a few month, weekends off, and make them stay awake and have to listen to each other talk/ramble
don't own a cell phone, so I am saving that money...
tipping a waiter/waitress even for bad service, if its bad I refuse, even though wife will throw few dollars on table...
paying to have a deer processed, most people if shown once could do it for free, and save $50 +
hiring a lawn care service for a small yard you could push in 10-15 minutes, then go and pay a gym to walk on a treadmill????
to many others but I am a cheapskate by heart...3 -
None of you can beat the worst waste of your money: Payroll deduction. Congress is the largest criminal enterprise of them all.Neal

There are two kinds of women. Boat anchors or sails. If you got yourself a boat anchor, you will have a rough life. If your wife is a sail, life is so good!! Momma is a sail!! Life is good!!! 12 -

By the time I finally got my license I realized it was a very expensive way to go for coffee & I don't even like coffee.
It has been so long since I have flown that I have never had a bi-annual flight review. Still I don't regret it. I wanted to do it, I did it & I enjoyed it. It didn't help that I strung it out so long only paying for an hour or two when I could afford it & also flying gliders as well. That meant quite a few more hours. Added the glider rating very shortly afterward.

Ford trucks, sold by bottom feeding Ford dealers. I always thought that lawyers were the lowest forms of life. Until I had the unfortunate occasion, to get humped by a couple of Ford dealers. Dummy me i didn't learn my lesson the first time, and went back for seconds. 0 -

Farming, input cost have tripled/quadrupled in the last few years and finished products ready for the middle man to steal are the same price as 30 years ago. I wish I could afford a slaughter house were I could buy cows 50 cent a pound and quarter out in a few minutes and resale to the retailer and at least triple my money. Everything a farmer produces is this same story. 3 -

I keep telling my cattle ranchers/farmers that they need to create a coop that raises calves and does everything until it get to the table so they could keep the profits

#1 - horses
#2 - women, the boat anchor type. I speak with knowledge on this subject. Two marriages, one a boat anchor, one a sail. Since there are so many more anchors than sails many of you have had multiple anchors in your life. Only by much prayer after the anchor and the Grace of God did I get so blessed to receive the blessing of a sail.0 -
1. betting on slow horses
2. going with hot women
3. buying a drag car and then selling it.
4. buying a boat then selling it.
5. Buying a new auto then selling it.0 -

Put close to 100 hours on ours this year. There are 4 or 5 restaurants on the lake between 5 and 20 miles away. The Wakeboard boat would have been a kidney buster and this thing rides like a champ.neacpa said:Me personally, my pontoon boat that I just thought I had to have.
