Shiggles pupdate
She's growing like crazy. Gained almost 2 lbs since I got her. She's chewing on everything. I have to rub my feet and legs with Vicks vapor rub to keep her from gnawing on me. Chasing the blue heeler and sniffing are her favorite outside activities.

OK :
Nice looking pup !!!!
Have had beagles all my life : up till a few years ago !
Thanks !!!0 -
To me, a young Beagle pup is easily the cutest pup there is. Notice I said young. Adult beagles are not the cutest or smartest dog by a long shot. This is just my opinion. It is worth just what you paid for it. 3 -
Our beagle is 5 years old. She is the smartest dog we have ever had. 0 -
Does not even look like the same dog you posted 1st photo of. Grown big time.
Gotta love Puppy's. (Except the House Training & chewing up everything in sight.)

Our puppy, (not a beagle) now a full grown 2 year old dog has finally outgrown her obnoxious chewing tendencies. Her former habit only ruined a sofa, two easy chairs, a wooden rocker, more shoes and slippers than I can count, and a couple of stairway banister posts!
Ya gotta just love them doggies!
And that beagle pup sure is a cutie!!0 -
Who would name a dog shingles? Talk about bad karma. 0 -
I've ran a lot of beagles in my time. If you want to rabbit hunt with it get it all the trail experience you can at as young an age as you can. When I lived on a farm and let the hounds and beagle pups run lose and run anything they wanted I had excellent trail dogs. Break them off of trash after you start hunting them. Once they were full size and trailing well I would stop letting them run loose all the time and work with them. 3 -
Nice picture of Shiggles, Susie! 0 -
Had a pup a lot like that one. Would rather rabbit hunt with me than eat. She absolutely GLORIED in bustin' bunnies! Fun times for both of us. 2 yer old her, 14 year old me, feared by rabbits in 3 states.

Here is a Beagle in action.0 -
I trained my pick of the litter to blood trail deer. Buck (get it?) loved to find a downed deer because he knew he would get his Milkbone reward. We found lots of deer in Southwest Arkansas for several years. The only problem was, he was terribly gun shy! If you shot a gun while he was on trail, the hunt was over. I lost him to kidney disease when he was 9. 0
