  I was down in El Salvador one year in November in a small town.  We noticed a big crowd at the cemetary.
  We saw the whole town was visiting the grave yard.   They put flowers on the grave, and the whole family would gather around the tomb of their great grandfather, and they had a big picnic.   Celebrating the life of the guy in the grave.
