How are you making out down there Brother?

Rained most of yesterday afternoon and overnight. Woke up to more rain. About a couple hours ago, the wind came in fierce from the South. Rain coming in in sheets blowing in from the South. Craziest thing I have ever seen with the leaves. Crazy updrafts taking thousands of leaves hundreds of feet in the air. I have never seen so many leaves so high up before. It was mesmerizing.

The trees are now stripped of leaves, except the White Oaks, and Pines.

Made me think about you, and wonder how things are going down there.

    Strange. Weather cleared up. Clear Sunny Blue Skies now, with loads of clouds but out of the West.

    From the N.....NW...................maybe wrap-around from the storm or being pulled in by it's low pressure?

    It has been steady 20 - 25 mph all day.

    thanks for asking,  made out pretty well.  lost a couple of trees and several limbs.  one limb knocked down the power line to the house of course.  right now on  portable generator power and just got that going.  freezers up and running, beer fridge working,   several gas stations are open on the interstate and i hear wal mart down in town is open.  cool enough to not need air cond.  life is good at the moment.

    Yeah. I thought the sudden change of direction, was kind of strange.

    We were getting hammered from due South for the last two days.

    Then Bam, sudden change of direction, when I expected the main part of it to hit Thurs.

    Glad to see the clear sunny skies though.

    At sundown yesterday it was still and cloudless. I set my clock to go off at 5:30 to go hunting. I got up and it was raining and very windy.
    I went back to bed.
