My new toy
Not a gun, but still fun to have. Went to the Texas Renaissance Festival opening weekend. Second day wandered into a kiosk with oodles of odds and ends. Been wanting some Damascus steel and found this skinning/gutting knife. Handle is reportedly Bison horn. I'm happy.

"Reportedly Bison Horn Handle."
Yeah, that is called Plastique. 😉
Just busting on you Susie. Nice knife.
Renaissance gatherings, better than a Victoria's Secret catalog. Used to go to the Harriman Forest, NY enclave every year. Good times.

I assume that is a gut hook on top and from the angle of the hook on the bottom I'm guessing it is a skin hook.
Nice!
And a big wide blade for skinning.
Love it!
Now you need a matching knife for meat disection. Do you know who made it?

A very good looking blade, how is the scotch? Smoooth! 0 -
Scotch is smooth and I'm hoping to be putting the knife to good use in about a month. Ate the last tenderloin at the Renfest. Son-in-law brought the last backstrap he had.
I have used all manner of knives in the past to skin/gut deer. One year I had left all my cleaning gear at camp. Hunted on the family farm. Scored a nice doe. A t-post, ratchet strap, and paring knife in the barn did the trick. Any port in a storm. Lol.
