Every time I see a patio Halloween set up, I think of one of my work friends up North. He would have a fake guy on his porch sitting amongst Halloween stuff for a week or two prior to Halloween.
On the night in question, he would dress up the same as what had been out on the porch, with a bowl of candy in his lap with a sign saying "Take ONE please."
When any unsuspecting kid would take one, (more often a big handful) he would jump/move scaring the bejeezus out of everyone. (All caught on film.) Hysterical.
Parents/Dad's were especially funny. Caught off guard.
