Aztngundoc, I considered a 4x4 seriously for a while . Realistically we get maybe 1 snow storms a year where 4 wheel would be needed . Both my son and son in law have 4 wheel drive trucks so I covered there . This way I get more truck for my money . If I was still working construction I would have gone that route

It is my belief that 4x4 is seldom used. We have it in our mind that we must be able to go anywhere under any conditions so lots of money is wasted on extra cost at time of purchase, maintenance, fuel, ect and most folks don't have the driving skills to use turn signals much less drive in extreme conditions. My big chevy van has a posi rear end and by adjusting tire pressure I can go pretty much anywhere I should want to go. I have owned a lot of 4x4 trucks in the past but I was spending a lot of time on the beach in N.C. or N.J. or off road when I lived in Nevada. I personally don't have any use for one anymore and certainly don't care about impressing anyone else with my vehicle.

Ricci those are the same thoughts that I had . I don’t do enough beach fishing or hunting in the boonies to justify the extra costs. My hunting area is all accessible by regular truck and my four wheeler for my more remote stands . Got to admit they look cool but in the end it is all about the money 💰
