Like you Jim, I doubt you have very many Liberals around you.
Similar to my situation, here in podunk Extreme NE TN/W NC.
(Pretty much why I moved down here, to begin with.)

Stink bugs by the thousands now, Asian beetles will start in a week or so as the leaves all die and fall. 0 -
Killer hornets or whatever didn't gain traction, corn monkeys here have been the worst in decades but the media won't give it airtime. 3 -
Beautiful fall weather here.0

We have had both. The most annoying thing is they will start showing up in the dead cold of the middle of winter in our house. They must have planted eggs in the fall and hatch as we get the wood stove cranked up.KenK/84Bravo said:Couple weeks ago it was Stink Bugs. Last week it was big *** Flies. Now it is Lady bugs.

We had Love bugs bad this year all over the windshield and hard to get off. Also the flying shrimp as my wife calls what I believe are may flies 0 -
Their not lady bugs, their Asian Beetles. They were brought over here to kill the Aphids on soy beans, only problem is they have no enemy here in the United States that feed on them. Their looking for somewhere to weather the winter. The last ten years or so I’ve been using Bayer Advanced complete insect killer, seems to work pretty good, I mix it double or so than what they call for. Used seven gallons of the mix about ten days ago around foundation windows and vents, after a week or so got an orange strip around the house, and keeps them out of the house during the winter. I know I will catch flak now on the way I mix it, but the EPA has got everything cut back so much now, it’s either double up on mix or live with the bugs through the winter.
