This is long so you might want to break it up into bite sized chunks but damn is it great. Pilot shot down in Viet Nam, rode the jet down, badly burned, rescued by Green Beenies who threatened to shoot the rescue chopper down if it didn't land. And that not the most interesting part. He went on to fly the SR71. He is a gifted speaker and he has photos of the SR71 that he took and are just great. I didn't know the SR71 used different fuel that regular military jets and therefore required special tankers. I also didn't know the plane had been used to locate lost hikers and boats at sea. I have only watched the first 38 minutes and look forward to the rest. Four minutes to fly across the whole state of Nebraska!!!!

    Yep. The 12 year old was piloting and about to talk, but his back seater Walt did the talking. I have heard the story before, but the last transmission that Walt said his instruments had the speed closer to 2,000 mph than 1993 mph.
