800ft lbs of torque in the same space needed to stuff a SBC.

This is going to become a thing.

Yes it will.  It has me thinking how much fun that would be.   Get an old classic Chevy and stuff one of this in it, oh yall

Of course.  But if I can afford the motor I can afford the differential to handle it.

"That leaves finding room for a battery as the main challenge for would-be EV crate motor converts."  Not just a 'battery' but several batteries and other electrical goodies.

Same space as a fuel tank & you could put it anywhere to optimize performance.

Imagine dropping 800ft lbs of torque into a Miata for SCCA racing...

Might be easy on the drive train. Slow wind up, no shock I would think.

interesting for sure . I am sure it will be done many times over by the people  with large bank accounts and a high end shop doing the work
oh I did my share of engine swaps ( and sure more to come ) and most were as FCD  no where near nice conditions or tools .
I am amazed at what the aftermarket has to offer but then again most is well beyond my meager budget for hot rodding

I think I read in the link that they are $11,500. Batteries extra.

Mike Brewer, the guy from Wheeler Dealers tv show, had a spin off show, where he'd go around & hang out with different kinds of car people.
One episode featured these guys who put electric motors from wrecked Teslas into classic cars.
They told him they weren't going green;  they were going fast!
