Forum question
I keep getting this popup ONLY on gunbroker and no other place. Doesn’t matter if I’m using safari or Firefox and only on my iPhone. What is this? The only thing I found online was saying it’s a websites certificate is outdated. What say you guys? I’m hesitant about ever just downloading anything

ill wait a bit before doing it then. If it was popping up on everything I’d say virus but it’s only on gunbroker.

Not getting it on win 10 or my Kindle Fire Os. Looks like it may be an Apple problem. I wouldn't trust it. If you had a MacBook I'd suggest an anti malware scan but for an IPhone I am clueless. There may be some clues here; https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8387250

My Iphone, not downloading it. 0 -
The REAL malware is Windows 10, but I get tired of people saying they're tired of hearing that. 0 -
I don't see it on my phone- Samsung, or any of my three monitors: one using Chrome, one using Firefox and one using Edge. It doesn't show up on my Chromebook, or either of my two laptops.
Are you guys using a pop up blocker? If not, you should be. During the Captain Fun regime just mentioning using an ad blocker in the forums would land a member in hot water. Well, captfun was getting a paycheck from GB. It was in his best interest to keep the ads flowing, but I only have your love and admiration as my reward...so block those ads!3 -
I do have a popup blocker but it wasn’t working for that thing last night. At least as of 8:05am Pacific the popup is no longer popping up...will update if it comes back.

Try downloading it and see what happens.6

Firefox has a built-in popup blocker, but you do have to turn it on. Look under Preferences, then Privacy, then Permissions.
But over and above that, you could and should install uBlock Origin, which stops damn near everything obnoxious. Look for it under Add-ons, Extensions. Click Install, and Wha-La.

"The Internet country code top-level domain.io is assigned to the British Indian Ocean Territory. The.io domain is administered by the Internet Computer Bureau, a domain name registry company based in the United Kingdom." - WikipediaI would consider it malware. There are a couple of sites with relatively simple instructions on how to remove malware from an iphone, but the Apple store will do it for you, if you have one nearby.Neal0

It’s still not popping up as of noon. Hopefully it’s gone. It was only on gunbroker and only last night. Never clicked download

I had that happen on my phone today as well. I would push the x and it would go away only to have it keep coming back up, after 3or 4 times it quit coming up. It was only when I was on GunBroker.

It stopped coming up on my phone sometime today so that is good.
