He was no fan of the M-16 and 223.
Certainly a good writer and a true patriot, very opinionated.
Been struggling to think of any good gun writers of present.3 -
Interesting article. Thanks for the "scout" rifle concept also. 0 -

Good gun writers of present. Don't have any.A generation ago: Skeeter Skelton/Dobe Grant, Gary James. Bob Milek, Charles Askins, Bill Jordan, Elmer Keith,
Jan Libourel, J.B. Wood, Fred Barnes, Roy Dunlap, P.O.Ackley to name , but a few...Barnes' Cartridges of the World and Dunlap's Gunsmithing are still my favorite books. No matter how often you pick them up, you can still learn something new ! Dobe Grant was very amusing!

Lots of NVC and ISIS/Taliban can attest that the 5.56 m is not a toy. 0 -

Have Ackleys, Sharpes, Hatcher, Whelen, Keith, Askins, Cooper, and other old books from pre WWII and the Fifties.
Just about every gun mag these days are merely ads; even the articles. Rarely anything interesting.0 -
What's the Marine quote?
"Be Polite, be Professional, and have a plan to kill everyone you meet."
Or similar.
I was Army. We only strive to hurt people really bad.
