Any Issues Shooting .22Shorts in a SAA chambered for .22LR?

It will "dirty" the cylinder to where a longer cartridge may not fit. Just scrub out the cylinder holes with some good ole Hoppes and a bore brush.

    That has been my experience.

I had thought that may be the case, and the issue. I was hoping there was not a potential problem with the forcing cone. Etc.

If I can shoot .22shorts in my soon to have in hand Heritage Rough Rider, that is a major score/bonus.

    WooHoo............................🕺

I've shot them through several different revolvers through out the years and haven't had issues.   Like has been stated scrub the cylinders now and then.

Reading throught the Owners manual front to back this AM, it specifically calls out that Short, Long, Long Rifle and CB's are perfectly fine to shoot through the Rough Rider.

Good to hear it as confirmation here from you guys, very good to read it in the Owners manual.

I've got around 1K high velocity shorts calling my name, (and out on the coffee table,) ready to go.
