Gun shop robbery and arson update
Gunsmith buddy of mine had his ATF inspection this week . While talking to the agent he learned that at least one of the robbers who torched the gun shop I worked at had been arrested . He is/ was local to the area . Probably would recognize him if I were to see a picture . The agent said they had enough state charges on him , let along the federal stuff , that he doubted he fellow would ever walk on green grass again . No word yet on what was recovered . I lost a bare lower in the robbery . Really hope it come home

The feds let the state run with it. Not a high profile incident, huh? 0 -
Sentences for arson tend to be greater than those given for homicide. My LGS, & another in a neighboring county, were hit on consecutive nights by the same gang; in both cases, they drove a stolen truck through the store front, grabbed what they could, & disappeared before the police got there. They got 30-40 guns total, but most were recovered after their arrest. The first one tried just got 20 years in each county, reduced to 22 months in both places (concurrent). I'll be surprised if he's not out in 1 year. You would think that ATF would make gunshops put concrete filled steel bollards in front &/or to prevent this type robbery.Neal

you would hope this crime would carry a REAL sentence ,, not just a slap on the wrist ????? 0 -
Instead of feel good Gun "Laws" punishing Law Abiding folk, how about putting real Criminals in Jail, especially those involving a Firearm for more that a slap on the wrist. Plea bargains be damned.
Should be Mandatory minimums.
Lucky I am not a Judge.
*Remove about 2/3rds of the BS Gun Laws, and actually prosecute the ones that will make a difference. (You know, with the violent Criminal population.) This crap is not that complicated.

The libs go easy on gun thefts because when the stolen guns are misused all of the legal owners are punished with more laws, restrictions, red tape, etc. 0
