We live in Wisc. my wife plants "Kale".  Looks like a fancy cabbage.  Lasts well into the winter months!

I haven't planted a garden for several years but I have planted, early spring, summer and winter gardens.   Broccoli, cabage, root vegetables, some greens are usually my late plantings.

I'm sure you guys are aware of this, but Kale is a Super Food. Extremely healthy and good for you. Starting to see it in some higher end Dog food.

I use it in the Crock pot on some dishes. Chicken Soup etc. Good in a salad as well.

You guys are making me wish I had planted something. I like all the veggies listed. I did not plant a garden this past year, 1st time in a while. Last year being so dry and the animals hitting me hard, I did not get much at all.

Fresh Beets would be awesome. (Cauliflower, Broccolli, Cabbage, etc. etc.) Love me some Veggies.

Winter gardens here in the Minneapolis area generally consist of rocks and snow, sometimes without the snow.

Ummmmm, no.  I lost my wife's car in one overnight snow storm, I thought it was funny as heck.  "Honey, where did you put my car??"   This was after a TON of shoveling and snow blowing.
