I had an English Pointer that was the worst chewer of things: at least three pairs of eyeglasses, duck decoys, boat trailer harness wiring, garden hoses, waders, etc. etc. etc.
you could not take your eyes off him for a second if he was out of kennel.
I came to the conclusion that it was my scent; he loved or hated me, plus he was crazy. If you came to a pond while bird hunting he would jump in and swim across it, you couldn't stop him, you waited for him to swim across and back before you could continued your hunt.

When I was teaching science I told the middle school students that if their dog ate their homework I would give them credit for it if they brought me what was left of it when it came out of dog.  Being a Science Teacher they understood, but no one ever tried it on me. ;)

I did turn in a photocopy of some homework once when I was in college -- prof asked why and I held up original in a ziplock bag and explained tomcat had peed on it.

    He accepted the copy

Looks like the dog chewed the BEEP out of your timer.

Could have been worse.  Buck my hunting Lab chewed up thousands and thousands of dollars or cash from rent that I left on the end table in the living room. I get up on a Sat morning and paper is scattered and torn all over the floor. I sent the rent receipts and a picture of him on the floor with the mess to the Treasury Dept in Washington. It must have been at least 9 months later I go to the PO box and there is a check from the Treasury for the amount requested. I an only think of what the agent thought when they seen that picture of Buck.

At the Glock armorers school a couple of years ago they had I think a model 27 that a bored police mutt had chewed up.

back when the garmans and similar devises were the top of the hill for road directions before all the phone aps
I bought one ( do not recall the brand name  )  same day it arrived I unpacked it left the room and yep the dog taste tested it  while I was out she had never chewed up anything  before , lucky  the mounting hardware and charging parts got the worst of it and a few scuffs on the main unit
I called the company said serious my dog just chewed up my brand new toy
she gave me a price for the parts I said sorry but thats about 10.00 less than I gave for the entire package deal on sale
she said give me a minute came back on the phone said a supervisor agreed under some hardship or good deed  too funny or what ever reason policy  to send me all I needed for about 20.00 including shipping that was 50 .00 less than what she originally told me . learned a lesson that day and my on sale deal went back to full  price >>>

     so
