I think they look pretty cool but I have never thought about carrying one. It weights about 4 oz more than a S&W 642, has all kinds of sharp edges to tear and hang up on clothes, and only has two shots. We would have someone come in every now and then and order one in .410 with a "driving holster" for their self defense gun. We would gently try to explain there were much better options but in the end it was their choice. They do look cool and the Bond Arms are very well made.

All that engraving makes the gun much more deadly for sure.

I would also ask why? No way am I going to pay near $3000 for a two shot derringer. $3000 would by a lot of much cooler stuff.

Before the shop got robbed and burned we sold a ton of them . They would sell almost as soon we Got them in stock . Gun gun and better made than the price would lead you to expect.

Kind of like putting a turbo on a Yugo.  But if you are into SASS, and dress as a riverboat gambler.....

I have an original Remington in .41.  That is even more useless.

we had a local hot rod shop who did big business swapping high performance 289’s and 302s into pintos . One guy even shoehorned a 390 into his .

Have a nickle plated American Tool Co. (Made in W. Germany.) ??? .38spcl Derringer. I keep it in my Jeep, in a very accessible right hand seat cover pocket. If anyone runs up on my vehicle, it falls to hand very quickly. At -your at my window- distance I believe it would be fairly effective.

$140 scratched that itch with a Sam06 auction tip. (Thanks Sam)

Bond Derringer has an excellent reputation, but spending more than that on a Derringer, No Thank you.

    * As an aside, my Derringer has a Serial # of 69. The NICS call even generated a call back on the Serial #. "Are you sure?" (Probably the only Firearm I own that I know the serial # by heart.)
