I believe he needs to take some of the money from the sale of the gun, if he sells it, and spend it on a new camera. Pretty poor pictures for an expensive gun sale in my opinion. In fact I wouldn't bid on a gun with dark out of focus pictures. 3 -
Too bad it's a .270 Win. That takes all the interest out of the auction!

Best.

What a silly thing to do. Screw up a perfectly good .30/06 case. No wonder Elmer didn't like Jack. 0 -
I agree Ricci, I wouldn't have a 270. 0 -
I know you wouldn't Sam. I just can't even imagine why anyone would ever buy such a thing. It makes no sense I tell you!!! 0 -
You guys are killin' me here!
May the ghost of Jack O'Connor wet your powder.3 -
That is a nice rifle but man no way in 270. 0 -
So, you boys are bidding on it then?

Haters gonna hate. 3 -
Don't do it Ken. I seriously doubt .270 ammo is available in Tennessee. 0 -
I've got the .270 and .30-.06 aspect of my collection covered. (Savage 110 and a NEF Ultra Rifle.)
Good luck if you guys are bidding. (And it sounds like it.)

Exactly why do some of you hate the .270 Win ? 0 -
The 270 is a stupid caliber.
The 280 Rem will do anything the 270 will do only better and not insult us with a stupid caliber.I don't like 25 cals either

They’re just jealous. 0 -
How about 26's?Sam06 said:The 270 is a stupid caliber.

Now that I have achieved my exalted rank it seems it would be a perfect rifle for the lower ranks. A common caliber for the common folks. 😉 Bob 6 -
Now wait just a cotton pickin' minute! I'll give up my fourth star if it means I can keep my .270!BobJudy said:Now that I have achieved my exalted rank it seems it would be a perfect rifle for the lower ranks. A common caliber for the common folks. 😉 Bob6 -
Oh I like a 26 cal. See its an even number and or it is divisible by 5 so its ok.Like 30 cal; its even and divisible by 5 so it is almost divine.

Sure if you're using new math.

I think there is some heavy BS's going on about the 270.84, if you need some 270 ammo I have a few boxes Federal I could spare.Looking for a 270 myself, don't have one, but the Winchester just won't do it.

Man you guys are way to serious. 6 -
Charles Newton necked down the .30-06 case to take .25 caliber bullets in 1912.
A.O. Niedner necked down the same .30-06 case to .25 caliber in 1920 naming it the .25 Niedner.Remington commercialized the .25-06 case in 1969 as the .25-06 Remington making the cartridge a commercial success after the wildcatters did all the work! A great cartridge none the less.
The .257 Weatherby was created by Roy Weatherby in 1944 and ranks third as the most popular Weatherby Magnum cartridge. Phenomenal power with reasonably mild recoil. Loaded with the current king of .25 caliber bullets, the 131 Black Jack, it provides an exceptional cartridge for up to and including elk.
Best.
