Called to check on"pwillie" near Mobile, Alabama
He said that he had a bunch of oak trees and every time one of the comes along he looses some oak trees. In addition to some oaks - he also lost a pecan tree or two - loaded with pecans. You could hear the chain saws running in the background. Fortunately no structural damage anywhere.
Best Regards - AQH

Thanks for the update, Steve!
Glad he's safe and sound.0 -
Paul told me a couple of days ago that he had no damage to any of his properties, which is why I noted it in one of my posts, but being from hurricane country myself, trees and flooding don't normally figure in, which is probably why he said what he did.AdamsQuailHunter said:He said that he had a bunch of oak trees and every time one of the comes along he looses some oak trees. Added: Let me clarify the flooding part of my post: I knew that Paul's main residence was not on the coast, and for such places flooding is not normally a problem.0 -
While not directly on the coast his primary residence is just off an estuary my Grandfather and I used to fish all the time. Many of the oaks up in there are well over 100 yrs old. Beautiful spot. I think my Dad's pecans are still standing but pretty sure all the nuts are miles away! 0 -
