That's the fatbike for new soft snow conditions. The tires have "ok" traction for that. When it gets icy I switch to the bike with claws ... Kona 29er with Schwalbe Ice Spiker Pro tires. I can grab the front brake on a frozen lake and stand it up on the front tire. Incredible traction.
Here are the Nokians I got rid of when I bought the Schwalbes. And I used to think these were beefy studs!3
