Barz you are a mess your Trump hating clouds your mind.
Rather then just dissing the POTUS I was looking for different views. For one private companies have no obligation to spend zillions trying to find a vaccine so government support to encourage that seems sound, Perhaps a bounty on development of a successful vaccin that would still allow for a profit incentive in the end result would be appropriate but that too may not be enough incentive for private companies to go for it with no guarantee of any return in the end. Also maybe hey we will give you x dollars to do it and IF you succeed you can make a capped 5,10 15% on the vaccine development and we gurantee X number of purchased volume.
Or you could just point your fingers at Trump LOL

ANY COST associated with a vaccine for this virus should be deducted from any $$ we may owe the Chinese.

They know this originated with them, as do we.

Of course we had to make it worth while for Pharma to make billions on the vaccine.  Had we allowed development to be done according to regulations, we wouldn't get a vaccine for several years.   We need it fast, so we have to grease a lot of palms.
But, the cost won't be paid by "Uncle Sam".  The government has no money; government is simply a mechanism for redistribution of the taxpayers' money.  The 50,000,000 people on food stamps have no money; neither do the illegal aliens.  We taxpayers are the only ones who can possibly pay the cost of the vaccine.  Accept that we have no choice.
