any hatfield owners/users???
was killing time this morning out at walmart, had to get some more golf balls, seems the local trees seem to eat them, and walked back to the gun rack to look at the ammo situation. allway look in the rack just to check prices and such, ask the boy behind the counter if he had any 28 gauges, as I saw a few over and unders, he said yeah the one on bottom. it was a semi auto 28 ga hatfield and the price was $226.00. I ask if that was right or if the shotgun was in the wrong place, he scanned it and it was $226. I looked it over and it seemed to feel fine for a cheap shotgun, I know it isn't a Bennelli, or Browning but for a little over $200 what can you expect. I told him I would be back as I had to take my grandson to the dentist and needed to pick him up at school.
Only been couple hours and when I dropped grandson back off went back out to get better look at it. It was gone, seems the guy behind me had heard me talking about the 28ga with the boy behind the counter and he bought it, it was last one and he is not sure when they will get more, as it has been january or febuary since they had one. should have just bought it and let him run the check/paperwork while I went to the dentist with grandson and came back got it later, just never figured anyone else would be interested, I wasn't looking for a skeet/trap gun to shoot thousands of rounds a year, probubly only dozen or so rounds while squirrell hunting or target practicing with kids and wife. seems the reviews are all for the 12 ga and are hit or miss with jamming issues and forearm splits, haven't seen a 28ga review, guess next time won't wait.

I looked at an O/U .410 and it wasn't too bad looking. 0 -
Being from West Virginia, you should know well enough to leave those Hatfield and McCoys alone.
Those Boy's were not playing any games. Tended to hold a grudge as well.

You really didn't miss a great deal, only my opinion. 0 -
You might have saved yourself some headache(s). Before any impulse buy, specially with something at such a low price point. Best to do as much research on it that you can.
There were a lot of on-line resources. GOOGLE was excellent for awhile. But lately they have sucked big time. You put a topic in, and you get caught in a endless loop. U-Tube has also curtailed a lot of their gun related content, to "Protect the Children". Which is nothing more, then the "Cancel Culture"/censorship being pushed by the lefties.0 -
Remember the Wakefields and Carters fuedin' in Mayberry?

I married a Hatfield once, 7 years seemed like an eternity ... took a 10 year break, married a sweet little Korean, 24 years and I dont know where the time went.
My advise, stay away from Hatfields!0 -
yes, but mine is a muzzle loading squirrel rifle built by the grandson of devil Anse. 0
