Anybody have a recommendation for a favorite/ decent one? TIA for any input.

These are a pretty decent introduction to your question:I have several versions scattered around the shop which I use depending on the type of trigger used and the weight range needed. The Wheeler and the Lyman digital dominate the internet since they bully their way into every review situation. It's not that they are bad, just overly present everywhere minimizing the other choices. They work fine and both of mine agree with each other when tested against each other on the same trigger.Best.0

No, but I recommend not buying any TP scale that doesn't go up to at least 20 lbs.

I've been using the basic, RCBS manual spring model for years. With good results. Unfortunately it only goes up to 8 lbs. In some guns, it's not enough. Never forget the H & K, VP 70. That sucker, had a trigger pull of 17+ lbs. I had to jury rig, a trigger pull gauge out of a #10 can and lead balls. 0 -
Thanks guys! Yeah in my now ongoing quest to get my Rem. 721 22-250 to shoot, well the thing has about a 50 pound trigger. Feels like my arm muscles are going to knot up in cramps getting the thing to trip. 0 -
The Timney is my personal favorite and it is not only super accurate, but goes to 25 lbs. 0 -
I use a Lyman, but it doesn’t go over 15 lbs I think.
Stay safe.

"Rem. 721 22-250 to shoot, well the thing has about a 50 pound trigger"........................just to note; the Rem. 700 series trigger is a very good adjustable trigger equal to the timney IF YOU KEEP IT CLEAN. I'm talking about taking it apart and cleaning it, not just spraying it with wd40. 0
