If I still hunted deer
I would be all over this:
What a nice rifle KC, you have some really nice stuff right now especially with deer season here.

NICE!!!!! That must about the beginning of the 308? 0 -
Uncle had a featherweight pre 64 in 3006. Had a B&L Balvar 8. Great rifle. My dad had the standard 06 with the Balvar 8 and my late brother got that.

It’ll go much higher. .308 was one of the least produced calibers in the pre 64 Model 70, I believe. 0 -
I am sure it will go higher, I would probably go 200 bucks more myself. That would be a great deer hunting gun with a nice 2-7 Leupold on it. I am a 308 fan and even though I don't hunt anymore I kept my favorite hunting rifle a Pre-64(2nd year) Winchester M88 in 308. I got it in the early 80's and its harvested many an animal from all over the US. 0 -
I can’t believe it’s going this cheap. 0 -
At $890 that is a bargain. Wish I could afford it. I do have a deer hunting rifle in .308 Win though.......My Remington Mohawk 600
......love that rifle!!!!0 -

My son just got one of the Model 54 Short Rifles with the 20 inch barrels not too long back, Sam. Hopefully he'll get some use out of it.
