remember the neighborhood kids getting a new pair of shoes ( a rare occasion but did occur )same questions always how fast can you run or high can ya jump in them .Â
 I remember my first pair of red converse a pair of chuck T .  I bought with my own money (when I started working a whole 1.35 a hour ) they were bright red I wanted to make sure the other kids saw them in freshman year in high school . sadly still did not impress the girls thought >>0 -

Screw running, just get some of those tennis shoes (wheelies?) that had wheels on them that were all the rage a few years ago. Just find a hill, and point your Ahh.......Uuhmnn "Bulk" downhill. Let that beer gut be your ally. 😉

Ahhh, the memories... Keds, Converse, and PF Flyers. Summer shoes that pretty much lasted three months of kid abuse and then were dead. Winter and school meant Buster Browns, Red Goose, or other sturdy leather shoes - and a pair of rubber galoshes to buckle over them when it snowed. For that five-mile walk to school, uphill both ways, of course! 6 -

PF Flyers....now that was a while back. And, yes, Keds were popular as well as the shoe my little brother favored: Red Ball Jets. You looked like you were running fast while standing still. 0 -
