I'm glad that he got one of the robbers, but no one should ever be working alone in a gun shop. It's an invitation for a robbery. 3 -
Agreed. Mike's is a one-man shop, and he's 77 years old. Tough as nails, but still past his prime.
A jeweler friend had a one-man shop, and he was often occupied building something in the back part of the store. Sometimes a customer would slip in unnoticed, and it unnerved him. He had an electric lock put on the door. Anyone wanted in, they had to ring the bell. That got the jeweler's attention, and then he could let the customer in, or not, if the customer looked hinky.0 -
Richardson gun store owner fakes heart attack, grabs gun to shoot armed robber
The armed robber then faked a gunshot wound. No, wait he wasn't faking.I'm faking a laugh. No, wait I'm not faking.
It does my shriveled old blackened heart good when the good guy wins one.

Close call. Im glad he is OK.
Im betting the bad guys had done surveillance and knew it was 3 of them vs one old guy.

Entered the store wearing masks but that is common now. The virus makes being a criminal easier..
Stealing guns should be an automatic 10 years in prison with no early release. It is not like stealing money. And if they carry a gun in the process, add 10 more years.3 -
I agree kannoneer.
Glad he was not seriously hurt. (Mike Brown)
There is a Law and Order episode where a store owner (jewelry?) That has been robbed repeatedly, installs a door he can lock to prevent you from leaving (probably entereing as well) has a team of Brother's try to rob him. He locks the doors so they can not get out, shoots one. The other smashes the door and makes it outside and is shot on the sidewalk.
The store owner gets hammered with a Murder charge and illegal use of a handgun. Would have been difficult to have been on that jury. (Yes, I know there are quite a few here that decry that show, and do not like it's views.) I find it interesting and thought provoking.

In two different gun stores that I used to go to the owners shot & killed a hold-up man. In both cases they were rather quickly driven out of business by the dead man's homeboys. They would hassle the customers & key their cars. Since it was Kalifornia they didn't have to worry about law abiding customers being armed. 0
