Some people never have the chance to work on things or even watch people do things. So what's obvious to us they do not see. At least the kid is trying.
One time someone was helping me with an electric fence set up and I was using three t-post on each corner and one about every 20 yards down the line with step down electric fence rods in between. I handed him the driver and told him I would start the post where I wanted them and for him to drive them (straight of course) until the fins were below ground. I had a two pound hammer I was just starting them with as I was just placing them in the right spots. I had started 3 on a corner and walked off to set the next corner. I set the next post and looked back at him. He was driving the post with the butt end of the driver rather than slipping it over the post. I walked back to him said "let me see that" I turned it, slid it over the post and walked away. He said "that makes sense" and commenced to driving the post.
He just had never worked much. After a week of working with me he was catching on pretty well and thanked me for being patient and teaching him things. He was a good kid.0 -
