cannelure??
Been playing around with a 257 Wby, and it seems to like the Nosler partitions in front of 69 grains of RL25. I only had 1 package of 115 partitiions on hand, and they had a cannelure on them. If I decide to stay with them, do I need to get more bullets with a cannelure, or does it matter? It seems to me that after they get hit with 50K plus psi, and are pushed down the rifling, not much would be left of a cannelure anyway. Thanks.

Was that an old box of bullets? Nosler hasn't put the relief band over the partition in some time. I don't think you have a choice. 0 -
the only thing a crimp & cannelure is for on a rifle like that is to hold the bullet against recoil. I'll guess you don't crip the case into the cannelure anyway, so no, you don't need it. 0 -
It was an older bag that I had laying around...Hawk Carse said:Was that an old box of bullets? Nosler hasn't put the relief band over the partition in some time. I don't think you have a choice.0 -
Sometimes you can find Nosler Blems and save big bucks.
The Blemish is cosmetic only with the Noslers and I could not really see any Blemishs and the deer did not notice either.0
