Earthquake Repairs -

Had my Woodstove/Chimney guys come back out. Called about a month back. Was having some leaks dripping down on my woodstove insert heat shield. (Not down the chimney pipe.) Slipped through the cracks when the 70 yr old owner (Chimney Service) did not write down our discussion a mo. ago. 🤔 let him know I was not happy. ($5K Stove/chimney work.)

In the interim we had that 5.1 earthquake. When my guys came out and got on top, I had some fairly serious new cracks. 5 tubes of masonary caulk, and a brush on 1/4" flexible Chimney Cap. $250. My cap is about 3' by 7'. Do what you gotta do I guess.
