M1 Carbine Quality Hardware/Rockola
A friend has an M1 Carbine, Quality Hardware receiver with Rockola parts. It is in very good to excellent condition. Barrel is dated 6-43. All the parts match. Might be a DCM rifle. No import marks. Can someone give me an idea of what it might bring? Thank you.

This might present a problem? If it's S.N., is listed as being stolen.bk0331 said:It came straight from US Army service sometime in the sixties, no CMP, no import marks.
Year ago I knew a guy, who had owned a gunshop in Inglewood CA. This is way back in the 60's. He told me that a 1911, had been confiscated. Because it had been listed as being stolen, from some U.S. military unit.0 -
There are currently seven QH carbines listed on GB, although only one has a bid:

Without 50-100 photos of all parts, & all markings, there's no way to know if the parts are correct AND age appropriate for the receiver SN. Condition & type of finish on every part is also important. In the '60s it would have come from the Director of Civilian Marksmanship, not CMP. Original paperwork would be a big plus. Even folks who don't know what they are looking at would probably pay $500-800.
