left a bag of raw pork bones in my newest car since last friday. well over a 100 degrees in there daily. doesnt look like it leaked but it smells really, really bad. anyone have any industrial strength ideas of what i should do. febreze is all i have here for now and that aint getting it done.

one called odor ban, and/or baking soda sprinkle powder on carpet vacum it up in couple days......

But, if all of the above fails to work, the only way to get rid of the smell is to take the car to an auto upholstery shop & have them replace: the seats, the carpet, & the headliner.

Ozone generator. Sprinkle fresh coffee grounds around the interior let the sit a while then vacuum them up. All odors are particulate so one can use a carpet cleaner-extractor on the floor and seats.

I had a similar situation.

Left my sweat socks in the car overnight after a city league basketball game. Stunk the car up for at least a week. Could not smell anything else.

You can borrow them if you would like. I am sure it would hide the smell of the pork bones.

Sorry to hear about your problem. Several years ago, about 2003, had a friend with a similar problem; she had left a package of raw chicken in her car over the weekend. We tried everything, including running it through a .25 cent car wash with the windows down! We took the interior out, put in new carpet, new seat covers, new trunk liner, etc. The smell fadded a little, but it never left and it got worse at times. She finally couldn't stand it any longer and had to sell the car. It was a 2 year old Toyota Camry and she only got $4000 for the car! Since then I've heard a lot about a company named OdorXit (there is no "E" in the name). Try their website (OdorXit.com) and maybe even call them to explain your problem. I think they have several different products and they can direct you to the right one and explain the best way of applying it. Good luck and keep us posted!!!

Back when I worked at a new car dealership one of the salesman turned in his demo, I think it was a Chrysler New Yorker with cloth interior, and he smoked a pipe in the car. It stunk!!
